In the Director's Saddle with Bill Miller - #1 in the Series
CowboySpirit.TV - How lucky am I? To be directing a feature film about a couple of subjects dear to my heart, horses and the cowboy spirit.
Cowboy Spirit is more than just a tenet, it’s a way of life.
My whole career path in the television and film industry, show business as they say, has led me to this crossroads. It a blend of vocation and avocation and not many people can say they’ve achieved that ultimate goal in life.
I’ve chased Bigfoot through the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, hired an 85-foot schooner to take a film crew into the bowels of the Bermuda Triangle, worked with top athletes, name brand people and products, little kids and ordinary folks, creating thousands of living images for the big and little screens.
Now I have the honor to be directing Cowboy Spirit, the movie. It’s a strong story about honoring the past and keeping the virtues alive today whether you’re on the plains of Texas or in a high-rise office building in a metropolitan city.
And we’re working with a great cast and crew, people dedicated to making our vision come alive and sharing our purpose to tell a story of virtue and honesty with depth and purpose.
A few years ago this dream would not have been possible, the costs would have been too great. But with the advent of digital cameras and video that looks like film we can achieve our goal. And we want to share our experience with you along the trail.
In the coming weeks I’ll be writing about the film’s progress, what’s going on behind the scenes, the talk around the chuck wagon and the great experience we’re all having making Cowboy Spirit come alive.
See you down the trail.
